The map-magazine revolution goes global! Download mapzine English version starting October 10, 2025
map + magazine = mapzine. The map app you’ve always wanted!
Tokyo and parts of Japan are overflowing with visitors from overseas. While people are making use of social media to visit various attractive places, there are still many hidden, wonderful spots that aren’t well known. At BRUTUS we’ve been reporting and editing articles on the culture of Japan since our launch in 1980. With this app, we hope you’ll learn about spots selected by magazines in Japan to further enjoy your travels. The mapzine English version is a new magazine media platform, brought to you by BRUTUS, designed to be enjoyed by people worldwide.
We’ve partnered with whitemap, a company that developed a system engine which combines smooth UI/UX with easy-touse maps and easy-to-read articles, resulting in outstanding operability. As a lifestyle magazine, BRUTUS covers more than just food. You can search for everything from used clothing and tableware to aquariums, zoos, and museums.
Also, since we’re a media outlet, one charm of mapzine is that it’s enjoyable to read. All mapped spots have articles introducing them, so you can see the perspective the editorial department took in their coverage. Original content will also be distributed within mapzine and linked to a map. Be sure to download it to enhance your experience in Japan!
