My watch. Announcer Misato Ugaki and the Cartier Tank Française

Some people wear their favorite watches regardless of whether they are men's or women's, while others use them as tools. It could be said that watches are now being enjoyed more freely. Announcer Misato Ugaki talks about a watch she loves.

The watch I bought as a reward is to help me get through my busy days.

When I was working as an announcer for a morning information program, I had a schedule that was down to the second, depending on how many seconds I had to read the script in front of me. That's why I loved using a radio-controlled watch that could accurately measure time.

Shopping has kept me motivated during these busy days. This Cartier is one of the ways I reward myself for working hard. Just like jewelry, the things I wear are always within my sight.

So just wearing it really lifts my spirits. And because it's a brand I've always admired, I feel a certain tension, a sense of standing tall. I hope that this translates into beautiful behavior.

The Tank Française, released in 1996, is a spin-off of the brand's proud Tank series. Its delicate and elegant presence makes it hard to believe it was born from a tank motif. "The linear form and the cute pink dial were the deciding factors."
