REDPOISON Yokohama
If the roasting is satisfactory, the coffee will turn red.
Red Poison is a roastery run by Tomomichi Morito, a jewelry designer who became fascinated with coffee and turned roaster. The beans are roasted using SOLID, an original roasting machine that is the only one of its kind in the world, designed by the owner himself.
"It has powerful heating and cooling power, which delicately and boldly brings out the potential of the green beans. The reddish coffee brewed in this way is the origin of the store's name," says Morito. Following the flagship store in Sagamino, Kanagawa, which opened in 2018, the store in Yokohama has been opened.
"The beans we sell here are selected from countries such as Ethiopia, Indonesia, Brazil, and Panama, so that you can appreciate the different fruity flavors. We roast them to suit each bean, from dark to light roasts."
