Obscura Coffee Roasters, which operates stores mainly in Sangenjaya, relocated and opened this shop in 2024, where you can purchase the brand's full lineup of beans. With the theme of enriching time at home, they also sell cut flowers and pottery. They purchase raw beans directly from farms and specialize in coffee from six East African countries.
"Rwanda is a country that I have a deep attachment to. We first started direct trade, and continue to provide feedback to local farmers, working together to produce delicious coffee," says Sato Keigo.
With three stores in Sangenjaya alone, the store is a community-based operation that has a high level of customer literacy, but its price range is geared towards daily necessities. "We want to be like the local butcher or greengrocer," he says.
There are about 20 seats in the eat-in area at the back right.
