Our guides from various cities, who love alcohol and delicious food, told us about their favorite bars. This time, we'll be visiting Naha! The awamori you can drink in Naha is exceptional. So, this time, we'll be focusing on awamori bars. Please also try some tropical delicacies for the first time.

Kozakura

Enjoy traditional Okinawan cuisine at this long-established bar founded in 1955

-The store has a charming appearance reminiscent of the post-war era.
・You can enjoy new sake from 42 breweries for as little as 300 yen per cup.
・Awamori carbonated drink "A Ball" from 500 yen.
・You can enjoy a full range of Okinawan home-cooked dishes, including various Chanpuru dishes for 770 yen.
・The dishes are Yachimun and Ryukyu glass.

Okinawa <Kozakura> Salted Nankotsu Soki
The large plate in the bottom center is salted pork ribs for 660 yen, pickled sururu fish for 660 yen, and island scallions for 550 yen.

Oninoude

Even the sake ware used to make Awamori is complex. A museum-like bar where you can get a glimpse into that world

・A bar for connoisseurs that also collects sake vessels, located at the entrance to Yachimun Street.
・The store name comes from the name of a thick, long awamori sake bottle.
-You can drink small amounts of Awamori from the sake cups lined up on the wall starting from 100 yen.
-We use only Okinawan ingredients, and you can enjoy delicacies such as pickled vegetables and stir-fried pork blood.

Inside Oninoude in Okinawa

A single shot of Awamori (30ml) starts at 100 yen, and can be mixed with carbonated water for an additional 100 yen.

Karakara tochibugwa

There are all kinds of types and ways to drink it. It's like an Awamori theme park.

・The store name comes from the Okinawan sake cup Karakara and Chibuguwa, a small sake cup for aged sake.
- Run by the Nagamine couple, who are awamori masters.
-You can also try a small glass of precious aged sake that is aged in a jar in the store, starting at 400 yen.
・Okinawa soba, a perfect final dish, is made with homemade noodles and costs from 450 yen.

Okinawa's Karakara Tochibuguwa cuisine

The photo shows Fuu Chanpuru (800 yen) and Okinawan scallions (650 yen). They also have a wide variety of original menu items, including squid ink nigiri (3 pieces for 500 yen).

Fish Market

Fresh butter-fried fish goes well with sake! You might even see the local "Moai" statue!

・A cozy bar where locals gather, even though it is located near the tourist area of Kokusai Street.
- Plenty of freshly caught fish arrives every day.
-In addition to sashimi, it can also be served grilled in butter, braised in salt water, or boiled in marshmallows.
・Enjoy Awamori starting from 750 yen casually with water or soda.

A bar filled with love for awamori, run by a Niigata native

・A bar with over 200 types of awamori.
・Leave the selection of your drink of the day to the owner, Takafumi Sakai, who is a certified Awamori Meister.
- It's also a great idea to enjoy a glass of aged sake (kusu) with some pickled winter melon, a traditional Ryukyuan snack (600 yen).
-The menu is optimized for drinking Awamori, including the traditional Chanpuru for 780 yen.

Okinawa〈AWAMORI+〉Tuna

Food options include tuna from the prefecture for 600 yen, which is only available when high-quality ingredients are purchased, and crispy pizza for 700 yen.
