A new face in Green Point, bustling with apparel, magazines, and events
Located in the Greenpoint district of Brooklyn, Forecast is themed around the city and nature, travel and everyday life, and the time that fluctuates between them. The store is divided into sections with shelves, creating small scenes they call "vignettes." Utilizing the original pillars of the building, which was once a port warehouse, the store has created a warm, living-room-like atmosphere where "everyone is welcome."

The selection is centered around New York-based designers whose clothes are suitable for both men and women, but also features up-and-coming brands based in the UK and Asia. Many of the items are original, such as Korean brand Jeongri, known for its innovative silhouettes, and Marsted Cruz, which meticulously records the amount of time and materials used to complete each piece. "We thoroughly discover young designers through various channels, including fashion weeks in each city and social media. We focus on people who have just graduated from university but who have the ability to continue working," says co-owner Ashley Wong.
With many artists' studios in the neighborhood, the gallery corner, which started spontaneously, frequently hosts exhibitions of artists discovered at open studios and parties for them. The space has deep ties to the local community. It also stocks newly launched indie magazines like Vietnam's Mai Mai, as well as secondhand copies of Japanese fashion magazines. It's a rare spot where clothing, art, living space, and community quietly blend together.
