For those who love tea
Caffeine-free tea with the scent of the Yatsugatake forest

Yaso's "Yaso Tea"

yaso is a forest resource utilization project based in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Based on the concept of "living in harmony with the forest," the project aims to give back to the forests by developing various products using trees that are removed during thinning and pruning.

The shop offers a wide range of attractive products, including incense, room mists, essential oils, and craft beer, but one of its flagship products is "Yasocha," a tea made from red pine. The raw materials are 100% red pine branches and leaves harvested locally in Nagano Prefecture. This caffeine-free tea is made from pine needles, which have long been used as herbal medicine and herbal tea, and are roasted in a unique way.

It has a gentle taste, and the refreshing scent of red pine spreads subtly, enveloping you in the comfort of a walk through the forest. There is also a blended version that combines domestic mint, ginger, lemon peel, etc., which has an even more refreshing taste. It is caffeine-free, so it is safe to drink before bed. It would also make a great gift for someone who avoids caffeine on a daily basis.

You can mix it with milk or honey for a relaxing drink, or if you like alcohol, make it into a cold tea and mix it with shochu or gin for a fragrant and healthy "tea-wari" (tea-mixing). This sustainable herbal tea uses 100% of the Yatsugatake trees, without leaving any waste, and when you drink it, "the forest scenery comes to mind."
