Chiang Mai is just a little over an hour away from Bangkok by plane. There are many reasons to travel all the way to this second largest city in Thailand. This time, we'll enjoy an elegant tea time with traditional celadon pottery, a symbol of Chiang Mai.

Celadon ware is a type of ceramic that represents Chiang Mai. Made using soil from northern Thailand and locally sourced glazes, it is characterized by its soft jade green finish. There is a tea house where you can enjoy tea and food made using this celadon ware.

This 110-year-old Western-style house has high ceilings and a pleasant atmosphere. Located in the heart of Chiang Mai, this tea house is like an oasis. In addition to tea, they also serve coffee and meals. There is also a shop and gallery on-site.

Located in a 110-year-old building with a soaring ceiling and a pleasant garden, you can enjoy an afternoon tea set of traditional Thai tea picked in Chiang Dao, north of Chiang Mai. If you like the tea, you can also purchase celadon pottery at the attached shop.
