What is "Panama grass"?
The Panama family is a perennial plant native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. Although it looks similar to a palm tree, it is not a tree but an herbaceous plant (a plant that does not have a woody trunk but is made up of leaves and stems). Its sturdy leaves are known as the material used to make Panama hats. Because it prefers humidity, it is recommended to grow it in a glass case in Japan.
Lecanopteris bargoi

The ant fern grows wild in mid-highlands at around 1,500m above sea level on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. It has distinctive protrusions on its rhizomes. The shape and color of its leaves vary depending on the region, and even within the same region, there is a large degree of individual variation, which is one of its charms. It is not tolerant of high temperatures.
Dicranopygium "Guna Yala"

This is probably an undescribed species from Panama. It is a beautiful, small species with distinctive leaf shape and even a blue sheen, and grows naturally in dimly lit streams, submerged up to the base of the plant. Its interesting ecology is that it scatters its seeds like a water gun by using the pressure of the water stored in the inflorescence.
