What kind of bags do adults use on a daily basis? We asked graphic designer Takata Yamaguchi about the contents of his bag, including his work tools and necessities, which are difficult to ask about face to face.

The bag and its contents that make "Now" possible

I like older Comme des Garçons bags and often look for used ones. This snap-button messenger bag is probably from the 2000s. It's somewhere between a tote bag and a messenger bag, and it's quick to put things in and take them out. It's been my main bag for over five years. And I carry a ton of stuff with me (lol).

"Onsen Sui 99" and "Koganeto" bekko candy are essential for me, as I'm sensitive to changes in atmospheric pressure, and they help me stay in good health. Grooming items for when I meet people. And because I think about design even when I'm out and about, I have a Moleskine notebook and A4 paper in a binder. My writing implement has been a B pencil since my student days, and I keep it in a transparent case so I can easily see how much of it is left.

Another thing I'm into is mini art books from art galleries and museums. I read printed books on my Kindle, but when it comes to pictures and photographs, I always use paper books. You can see anything on the web, so it requires a lot of searching, but edited books are easy to refer to quickly. When it comes to the usability of a bag and its contents, "speed" is important.
