The striking label, featuring a plump wonton in a rice bowl, was designed by owner Takaya Kondo. "Wonton Hazy IPA" 350ml 920 yen (sale price on the Let's! BEER WORKS online store). 
It has a beautiful, cloudy lemon yellow color, typical of a "Hazy IPA." It's fruity, smooth, and creamy, with a sweet, refreshing citrus aroma that's sure to whet your appetite!
Oguso also is a Taiwanese restaurant in Hakusan, Tokyo. Its signature dish is hand-wrapped wontons, and it's a popular restaurant where you can enjoy Taiwanese snacks (light meals) such as spicy fried chicken, boiled dumplings, and braised pork rice, all of which are commonly found at night markets, along with craft beer and natural wine.
The original craft beer, "Wonton Hazy IPA," has been a hit since its debut in 2022. As you'd expect from a "Hazy IPA" that originated in New England, it's made with a rich blend of American hop varieties, including Azacca, Cascade, Citra, and El Dorado. What's unique about it is that wonton wrappers are added to the brewing process! It makes sense, considering the wrappers are also made from wheat, so it's a perfect match.
As the name Hazy (Kasumi) suggests, it has a cloudy lemon yellow color and a rich citrus and floral aroma from the hops. The taste is smooth and creamy, with a juicy acidity and a subtle aroma. Mmm, this flavor... it definitely goes well with wontons and chicken pie!
Initially, only kegs were available, but a canned version was released last year. Coupled with the striking label design, it has become a new icon for the store. It is produced by Let's! BEER WORKS, a cutting-edge brewery in Higashijujo that has had a long-standing relationship with Uguisu-so also. The canned beer can be enjoyed in the store, or purchased from the Let's!
