"I like the colors and style of the paintings, so they're easy to display in my room and I never get tired of them. When choosing artwork, I place importance on creating a space, and choose pieces that fit the style and tone of my life."

In his late twenties, he began buying anonymous paintings for interior decor, and eventually came across Nakase's work. He hangs monochrome paintings in his monochromatic office, but the gentle colors of his paintings suit his home, a place of relaxation.

Moe Nakase's paintings decorate three spaces in her vintage apartment: the living room, the entrance, and the bedroom. In the entrance, she displays a piece that evokes the infinite expanse of the universe, using minerals and the veins of plants.

"I first purchased Nakase's work about three years ago, and have continued to collect it little by little, following each of his solo exhibitions. I always find information about his work on social media, and if I like it, I make sure to visit the gallery. Rather than asking about the theme or concept of the painting, I'm the type of person who decides without hesitation that I like it based on its appearance and feel."

Choose what you truly like, just like the necessities of food, clothing, and shelter, without being swayed by trivia, fame, or value.

"When you're surrounded by things you love, it enriches not only the space but also your mental and emotional well-being. Her paintings in particular seem to have that kind of healing power."
