Once your body gets used to this chair, there's no other place to be.
I had been suffering from back pain on and off, and when I was in my fourth year of university, I went to a store in Akihabara and tried out the Aeron chair and the Contessa, and the Contessa was so much more comfortable that I bought it. The flexibility of the backrest in particular was outstanding!
My work time is divided into two periods: when I'm writing as if I'm on a battlefield, and when I'm reading or lazily contemplating, but I spend far more time in the latter period. The Contessa was extremely comfortable for both periods. After using it for about seven years, it broke, so I bought a new Seconda, which I still use today.
Although I think it's uncool to be particular about things and tools, and that it ties me down to a certain place, I find it more comfortable to sit on the Contessa than on the sofa. It's also annoying that I can't find anywhere else to sit.
