Yasunori Nakatake's My Rules
Wear it and get your work done!? Uniforms for hard work
Denim clothing is an essential item for me, and I feel like it has been a staple in my wardrobe for a while now. I wear denim somewhere every day except for special occasions. When I'm ready to work, I choose a denim jacket. Ever since I saw a coal miner wearing a denim jacket in the pioneering photojournalism magazine LIFE, and experienced the original image of workwear, it has become a special item for me, giving me energy when I put it on.
I think that wearing leather shoes would make me look too much like a real worker at the time, so I try to create a casual look by wearing my usual low-tech sneakers and my standard pants length so that I can fit in with my workplace in Kanda Jimbocho.

The coverall from Atlast, which he has been wearing for about three years, is a classic American workwear piece in his wardrobe. As he says, "The feeling of being wrapped in tough material is conveyed through the comfort of the garment," it still has a firm look. The raglan sleeves follow the shoulder line, so it fits the body quickly and is easy to move in.

The All Star High is perfect for days when you don't need to take off your shoes. For a pure preppy look, try a checked pattern. The off-white Authentic with blue stripes pairs well with indigo denim.
Kyosuke Seki's My Rules
My one-of-a-kind vintage piece, worn and remade
I still have that initial fashion impulse to dress differently from others. That's why I've always loved vintage denim, which has a certain character from the moment you buy it. In my quest to express my own individuality, I decided to remake it even further, and this denim jacket was made by dismantling and combining knitwear I no longer wear. Both have long been my standards, so they naturally fit my body.
It's based on an XXL trucker jacket, which is two sizes larger than my own, so I try wearing it in various ways: draped over the shoulders, with the sleeves rolled up, tied around the waist, etc. I think that by repeatedly tuning it in this way, the way that feels comfortable to me will become my new standard.

The base is a 90s Levi's® denim jacket. "Rather than expensive vintage items, I prefer the more affordable, worn-out feel," he says, purchasing it for under 10,000 yen. He disassembled his favorite fisherman's knit and remade it into the back of the jacket. From the front, it looks classic, but from the back, it's a completely different piece.
