OMA (Ikejiri-Ohashi)
A modern L-shaped bar that can be enjoyed day, night, and late at night
The shop has two faces, with a U-shaped counter made lavishly from three types of wood, a forest of craft gin and shochu bottles lined up above it, and TANNOY speakers that catch the eye.
During the day, the restaurant serves classic dishes like grilled ginger and fried horse mackerel, and the radio plays from the speakers. At night, the restaurant transforms into an izakaya where you can enjoy creative Japanese cuisine and a wide range of music.
The interior design and other production work is handled by Sakakibara Yuki, who also runs the coffee shop Drip in Ikejiri and the snack bar Dream in Nakameguro. He put up the sign with head chef Sasaki Koji and other colleagues from his previous job at a restaurant management company.
The food selection is also wide and varied, matching the wide and deep selection of alcoholic beverages, including sake, craft beer, and natural wine. From classic potato salad to fruit-based snacks with a twist, there are also hearty meat dishes and soothing oden. Ohashi Kaikan, a food and culture complex, has also opened, making it a rising star in the town, attracting increasing attention.
