Fascinated by the "new vintage" clothing of golf's golden age
The 1980s and early 1990s were the heyday of golf in Japan. This coincided with the bubble economy, and many items were released into the world, but as the boom died down, they disappeared. However, over time, treasures that still lingered in the enthusiasm of the past were unearthed. Some people discovered new value in these items, calling them "NEW VINTAGE GOLF."
The initiative was started by BEAMS GOLF buyer Satoshi Nishiwaki and stylist Yuzo Nakamura. "It's too old to be called vintage, and it's not traded at a high price. That's why it's called 'new vintage.' Even now, the graphics and colors haven't faded, and many of the pieces are actually fresh and cool."
They have collected over 500 pieces of "new vintage"! They don't have a physical store yet, but they sell their products online and occasionally hold pop-up events.
