Desert Snow (Chiba)

A mix of American vintage clothing and brand-name vintage clothing
Vintage clothing enthusiasts unanimously agree that "Desert Snow is the place to go if you're digging in Chiba," and the store, which opened in 2000, is a must-visit.
In addition to the American vintage clothing you'd expect from a vintage clothing store of yesteryear, such as vintage denim and sweatshirts, the store also stocks regular items, as well as archives of domestic brands from the 80s and 90s, such as Comme des Garçons and Issey Miyake. With so much to see, it's impossible to spend a whole day browsing the vast selection, and there's sure to be something for everyone, from beginners to experts.

HOMIES (Kyoto)

Classic vintage and worn-out aesthetics
This famous shop near Nishiki Market exudes a good old American atmosphere with its warm lighting. They mainly purchase goods from all over the United States, even going so far as to visit barns in rural towns.
Not only are they offering American casual and military styles like denim, but also vintage accessories and UK-made Burberry. The heavily distressed jeans on display are also popular, showcasing respect for their predecessors and a tattered aesthetic. Don't miss the unique corner, with items like silk shirts that change with the seasons.

TWO FACE (Kumamoto)

A mix of rare vintage items and Harajuku style
Masakazu Harada, who became obsessed with vintage clothing as a high school student, has remained tuned in for over 25 years. "I was fascinated by the sophistication of vintage clothing, and I would go around the stores and be amazed by the items I saw in person. I still love denim, just like back then. I go to LA every two to three months and buy from dealers and local flea markets."
At the same time, they also carefully select items from the Harajuku era. "This selection will resonate with people of my generation who remember that time. Many of the items are sourced from vintage clothing, so it's interesting to see how the times have changed."

Mr. Clean (Yoyogi Park/Tokyo)
A basic vintage clothing store as expressed by a super buyer in the vintage clothing industry
Oku-Shibuya is a popular area dotted with a wide selection of high-quality second-hand clothing stores. One of the main reasons it has become an essential area for second-hand clothing lovers is the presence of Mr. Clean, which relocated and renovated to Tomigaya in 2020.
The owner, Michihiko Kurihara, is a famous buyer who used to work at long-established second-hand clothing stores in Harajuku and Chiba. His knowledge and sense are undeniable, and when he goes to America to buy goods, he is known for driving 500-600km in a day, continuing this for half the year. Some fellow shoppers have even described him as the "Shohei Ohtani of the second-hand clothing world."
The charm of this store is that you can buy basic American clothing at reasonable prices, carefully selected and procured by Kurihara. From classics to trendy items, they have a great selection, and all are reasonably priced. Another point is the thoughtful use of white lights to make the store bright so that you can check the condition of the items. If you are unsure about the price at this store, you won't regret buying anything!
