<Awaimon> x Yuki Hidano "Weaving." — "Orizasu" is a work created by Tsuchiya Mio, the owner of Awaimon, which appears in Tokyo once a year, and Hidano Yuki, an artist who creates textile works.

The back and seat of an existing small folding pipe chair are made with Hidano's textiles, and it is so comfortable that I can carry it around and use it in various places around the house or in the garden.

AINO AALTO “Pine Chair”

AINO AALTO “Pine Chair” — This pine chair was designed in the 1940s by Aino Aalto, the first wife of Alvar Aalto, a leading Finnish architect and designer. I was attracted by its simple, unsophisticated look and purchased it at the vintage gallery SNORK in Yamanashi. At home, I use it together with a dining table by Charlotte Perriand, a French designer who was active at the same time.

Postalco x Karimoku "Mogul Ski Chair"

Postalco x Karimoku "Mogul Ski Chair" — I sit on a mogul ski chair every day when I eat. Previously, I was using an old wooden chair, but it made a squeaking noise every time I moved, which bothered me. This experience led to the idea of attaching skis to a chair, which my husband, Mike Abelson, designed. Made by Karimoku Furniture, it is of high quality, and I enjoy the way it develops its own unique character the more I use it.
