M!LK celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2024, and in 2025 their song "Ii Jan" became a huge hit. Their own TV show on terrestrial television is also popular, and M!LK is on a roll. Looking back on 2025, the youngest member of the group, Shunta Sono said, "It was such a busy and fulfilling year that it felt like three years had passed."
"'Ii Jan' takes a bold turn in the chorus, going from a typical idol feel to a song that can be said to be the culmination of M!LK. We have two sides to us - idol-like qualities and 'silliness'. We've always wanted to make a hit song, and this has turned out to be a hit that exceeded our expectations."
Even though he is extremely busy, there is one thing he never fails to do for the group.
"We started this past year, but we have a proper meeting once a week with the members. We discuss the group's future, songs, live performances, social media management... Sometimes we get so heated that we go on until late at night, but we think that if we don't work hard now, when will we ever get around to it? Each member of M!LK puts all their will and wisdom into creating everything from song concepts and lyrics to live performance productions and costumes. We are responsible for our own successes and failures. We don't want to blame anyone else."
Sono, who has pure feelings about idols, what is her image of an idol?
"I think idols are no longer idols, but more like talismans. The posters and merchandise they display in their rooms, the items in their member's color, and the music they listen to every day become a source of comfort for their hearts. In that sense, going to a live concert is like going to a shrine!"
