Ramdane Touhami travels around the world as a designer and businessman. His favorite watches, including a vintage LeCoultre, are all hard to come by. As for their condition, he prefers them to be as old as possible, so they have scratches and faded signs of use. This unpretentiousness is his own style.
The chronograph was made in the 1940s when it was still called LeCoultre, before it became Jaeger-LeCoultre. He was so impressed that he immediately decided to buy it, saying, "I've never seen a watch with such beautiful graphics."

The previous owner told him that the watch goes perfectly with the Jean-Claude Perrin strap, so he replaced it.
"When I wear an expensive watch, I want to dress in a normal way so that I can blend in on the street. This is partly because I'm conscious of security, but I also simply like that kind of cheap chic look."
He says that he sometimes goes out without wearing it, but he always wears it when he meets someone important or when he has an important meeting coming up.
"No matter what your outfit, wearing a decent watch is proof that 'I'm one of you.' It's not just about showing off your wealth, but it's also a way to show that you have a network that allows you to obtain rare items and demonstrate your own sense of style without having to speak. Just by wearing a watch on your wrist, you can express in a smart way things that are difficult to put into words or that don't deserve to be spoken out loud."
He also says that by learning about watches, one can become aware of the true essence of people who are also expressing their own qualities and qualities. "As a universal communication tool that does not require language, I feel that watches have an appeal that goes beyond their market value."
