The paper threads made by Matsuhisa Eisuke Paper Shop, a long-established shop dealing in Mino washi paper, are made by twisting strong paper made from pulped Manila hemp vein fibers hundreds of times. These are the dyed versions of these carefully crafted threads. The green is made from ambrosia and indigo, the purple from logwood, the red from madder, the yellow from ambrosia, and the blue from indigo. These softly colored strings are perfect not only for knitting but also as wrapping materials for gifts and souvenirs.
