To read this world from a different perspective
Dua Lipa discovered her love of reading through Malorie Blackman's "Corram and Sephy," and learned that beauty comes from within through Roald Dahl's "The Idiots." She now always carries a book with her, whether she's busy recording or touring for her album.
This talented singer, who holds dual British and Albanian citizenship, is also known as a bibliophile and runs a book club called Service95 Book Club. Centered around a book selected by Dua Lipa each month, the club publishes exclusive interviews with the author, information on notable new releases, and book lists compiled by experts. The club's diverse activities also include producing a notebook for recording reading, and hosting bookstore events in collaboration with the long-established New York bookstore, The Strand, inviting novelists.
Furthermore, starting in May of this year, a podcast series of interviews with novelists, hosted by Dua herself, began airing. In countries like the US, audiobooks are already available for purchase within the Spotify app, so it's likely that many new readers will discover unknown novelists through her show.
Anyone can join the Service95 Book Club for free, so if you're looking for new inspiration and hot new insights, you might want to join a reading community run by one of today's greatest pop icons.
"Stories change people," Dua Lipa says of reading, "and when the time is right, the book finds you," before continuing, "Join us and read the world differently."
