No More Plastic! Zero Waste in the Bathroom
In France, where 360 million plastic containers for liquid soap are discarded every year, Unbottled is breaking through the current situation where people are highly concerned about the environment but lack ideas and attractive products, and is experiencing rapid growth.

After graduating from Sciences Po, young founder Sarah Pouchet worked for several major cosmetics companies before retiring at the age of 30. While backpacking around the world, she was forced to buy and throw away plastic bottles, which made her rediscover the bottle problem. Her skin problems from childhood also led her to develop products that are sulfate-, silicone-, and paraben-free.
The three soap-type solid products, shampoo, body, and face, which began selling online in 2020, far exceeded expectations and sold out in two months. The products are free of cleansing ingredients, have a neutral pH formula that does not contain fatty acid salts, and contain only natural active ingredients such as broccoli and almond oil. Their high quality, which is thoroughly focused on skin, has captured the hearts of consumers. They quickly began selling in their own stores and pharmacies nationwide, and their success continues.
In addition to the value of one bottle, which is equivalent to two or three 250ml bottles of liquid soap, the fact that it has prevented the consumption of 10 million bottles in the five years since its release is also motivating repeat customers. The idea of attaching it to the bathroom wall with magnetic parts is also excellent. New hit products have been born, including deodorants, and this fall the company will begin trial sales of a plastic-free, refillable moisturizing cream. This elegant new idea paves the way to zero waste.
