DAY 1 (Friday, July 25th)
To begin with, it was the first time for all of us to go to Fuji Rock.
Last summer, I was busy with production and stayed indoors all the time. Wanting to feel the summer vibe, I searched for "Summer HD Sea" on YouTube and ate ice cream while listening to Nintendo background music.
However, this year I was also a part of the summer. The scent of nature in Naeba surpassed the high image quality.
The first day started with a live performance by Aoba Ichiko, and we enjoyed a variety of live performances and food, spending the day feeling like we were in tune with Naeba.
By the way, have you ever actually experienced the word "wind-blowing"?
On the first night, I witnessed a scene that was truly sweeping the world, or rather, becoming ISSEI-HUBI.
At CRYSTAL PALACE, near the ROOKIE A GO-GO stage.

I always have my day and night cycle reversed. "I realized that I really feel more energetic at night," my bassist Maruyama told me. The live performance the next day was scheduled to start at 11pm, so I decided to stay up until the morning to get myself in shape.
While walking around, I came across a building that was making a sound like a cashbox. I decided to go in. It was amazing.
The best thing about it was that the music they played was international and really cool, and the people dancing there didn't seem to have any ulterior motives, creating a whirlwind of music lovers.
I immediately sent a message to Atsushi, also known as A-kun, who helps out with merchandise sales and other things. I love people who are usually low-key but have something passionate about them. He's one such person, and to put it simply, he also has a side to him that makes him seem like an "upbeat junior."
He came on low and said, "This music is so cool!", and then he started dancing in a mysterious way, as if something had flipped in his mind. I had a premonition.
"Akun! Let's just go straight to the center!"

He made his way to the center of Crystal Palace, dancing an original dance that seemed to combine some kind of strange old man and something else, and then stopped. Then, for some reason, he started waving off the baton. I attached a fisheye camera to my smartphone in my pocket and started filming at a low angle. It was just like Spike Jones.
As if responding to his direction, the people who had been dancing separately earlier now came together.
Among them, Tank Top Niki leaped out and a never before seen dance battle began between A-kun and Tank Top Niki. Then, before anyone noticed, a large ring appeared in the center of CRYSTAL PALACE, and a dance battle involving everyone began.
Akun brought the atmosphere to ISSEI-HUBI with his real excitement.
There was something there that made me feel like I was at the origin of music and dance.
Afterwards, he was carried like a portable shrine. The scene had a mysterious beauty that reminded me somewhat of the movie "Midsommar." Wow, that was fun.

DAY2 (Saturday, July 26th)
The flow of the times has definitely changed. It was truly exciting to witness such a moment.
CA7RIEL & PACO AMOROSO's live performance was truly shocking. I felt a similar excitement and shock as when I first saw the Crazy Cats and SAKEROCK, and I was left completely numb.
Our theme at MURABANKU is "Just have fun." We don't need sympathy or empathy.
What's important is that it's real hip hop (honest) and fun!
All you want is that resonance.
We call the music genre that is "just fun (from nothingness)" "Schallakacore."
At the risk of being misunderstood, I felt an overwhelming sense of silliness and hardcore when I saw CA7RIEL & PACO AMOROSO on stage. I can't count the number of times I shouted in my head, "(((broooooo)))."
Thanks to the spectacular performance by those two and the other amazing musicians, we were able to see very clearly what we would be doing that night, and what we would be doing after Fuji Rock.
Thank you CA7RIEL and PACO AMOROSO for the truly electrifying and amazing performance.

It was almost time to go in. I had to meet up with the others. Until then, I was listening to music alone in the shade of a tree to concentrate. Just as you'd expect from a former volleyball player.
Anyway, I want to fly far away without being caught up in immediate things.
I was listening to Gen Hoshino "Orange (feat. MC. Waka)." The song features Audrey Wakabayashi rap, and it's like a talisman or the depths of nothingness to me.
When it was released, we were doing almost nothing but our own activities and were always riding our scooter for delivery. During that time, I was constantly singing this song.
After work, I stayed at the family restaurant until closing time, scribbling away in my notebook. It was a process that made me go ever more introverted.
When I think about it that way, the amount of time I spend at my desk may still be the same, but now I've been spending time making things or preparing to interact with people in meetings, and before I knew it, I was heading out and about.
In the middle of the night, I struck out with ressentiment and created it
Delorean Asagaya is out of the running
It's a lyric by MC.waka. I was writing in my notebook, trying to figure out what this DeLorean meant to me. After I had this epiphany, I started getting more and more music work, and I didn't have time to work part-time.
I decided to attack the dance floor with all my heart and soul, and that's what I'll be doing tonight.
I made up my mind and set the DSi I was carrying around to the internal camera. As I reached for my arm to take a selfie, I sensed someone's presence on the external camera side.
"Peace!!"
A cheerful and stylish music lover sent us a double peace.
(((Can't be helped!!!)))
Even though he was interrupting me saying, "I'm concentrating right now!", I still felt a little flutter in my heart and took a photo saying "Oke oke oke". Look, I've posted it here.
With the help of friends of the same generation who have been working together on various projects and preparations, and the incredible musicians they've met through the music they love, and the band members who came to Tokyo as unknowns during the COVID-19 pandemic and have somehow managed to continue working together, they finally had the opportunity to perform live at Fuji Rock Festival.
At this live performance, I wanted everyone to enjoy a beautiful view together.
So we decided to go into it as "Team Music Friends."

The actual stage performance was an incredible sight.
More and more people responded to our sound and gathered around us. Before we knew it, an incredible number of people were getting into our crappy music.
It was a mysterious feeling while we were performing. When I put it into words, it sounds almost spiritual, but in a successful live performance, a sort of pocket appears between the audience and above their heads. When the sound is concentrated there, it creates even more excitement.

I was in the front position, a supporting role that connected the band members on stage, who had otherworldly personalities in a good way, with the earthly side of the audience.
While you still have pockets in your pocket, try looking at the other members. This will create a new sound along with their facial expressions, bringing movement to the groove.
Before you know it, the floor is buzzing.
This was probably helped by the fact that Fuji Rock's audience is a high level of music lover.
The speed at which it reacts to sound is incredible.
I was really surprised that our weird and incomprehensible music could reach so many people.
If I may say so myself, it was an expansion of MURABANKU's "simply fun" space.
A world was born in which this was considered "normal."

After the performance, he went into the dressing room and did a fist pump. It was a very nerdy fist pump.
Before I knew it, I had lost interest in myself. I wondered if it was possible to put myself aside and use my body to enjoy the space in front of me. I felt like I had achieved that, and I was happy.
And most importantly, everyone in the dressing room looked happy.
The band members, everyone who appeared on stage with them, the cameras, and even the two of them were all filmed closely.
At the same time, MURABANKU.'s concept of "Are you staying happy?" was also achieved.
At the "Legendary Live", Teteteten and MURABANKU.'s level rose by another level.
Everyone at Fuji Rock, let's drift together in happy emptiness again.

DAY3 (Sunday, July 27th)
I woke up at noon and sent a LINE message to Maruyama, the bassist.
"I really want to see Creepy Nuts from the front row... Shall we go?"
And then, "Sure!" I got an immediate reply, and we met up and headed for the front line.
Maruyama-kun suggested, "Let's do it the Haraichi Sawabe way." Apparently, he has a Haraichi Sawabe-style method he came up with to watch Red Hot Chili Peppers from the front row. It's a revolutionary method that involves walking around in a circle! We've arrived at the front line. I hope you all will make use of this Sawabe-style method too.

As I mentioned at the beginning, "real hip hop" is something that Creepy Nuts taught me.
I discovered their music when I was a student, and when I went to work part-time I would listen to "Tarinai Futari" to get my mind in order. It's music that doesn't require me to pretend to be someone else.
For some reason, DJ Matsunaga's DMC World Championship was broadcast live on two screens at the time, and we watched him win.
The turntable was so cool, and Mr. Matsunaga's playing was truly impressive.
I want to see that performance in front of me at Fuji Rock. The concert started and I was glued to the two of them playing.
After the concert, Maruyama-kun, who was a little behind me, said with a grin, "I saw Jijin on the monitor." Seriously?! I had a bad feeling.
"While everyone else was jumping around, I was the only one watching with an assassin-like expression on my face," he said with a laugh.
on second thoughts~~~~~.
When I see a really good live performance or when I want to concentrate, I freeze up.
It must have been because they were stunned by the entertainment that was born from their everyday lives. Let's continue with real hip hop.

The time has finally come to say goodbye to Naeba.
As dusk falls, Che drives us down the Naeba mountains.
I hope I can come again someday.
Those three days marked a turning point in my life.
Thank you, Fuji Rock.
