When I was in junior high school, I came across Hoshino's "Koi" on YouTube and was instantly drawn to the addictive melody. Since then, I've been singing Hoshino's songs with Japanese subtitles at karaoke.
To me, Hoshino's work is not only "good music," but also the very memory of fond memories from my junior high school days. Until now, I had been supporting him from afar as a fan, but having the opportunity to create a song with him allowed me to see firsthand how his deep thoughts are put into his music.
I also realized once again that he is someone I can truly respect as a senior in the music industry. I don't know if my recommendations will be of any help to Mr. Hoshino, but I've chosen the songs I would like him to listen to in 2025.
This is the first song that comes to mind as summer approaches. When I'm stuck at work, listening to this song while feeling the cool breeze is refreshing and it's the best!
This song by a Brooklyn-born duo became popular on TikTok. It's the perfect song for when you suddenly want to relive memories that you've forgotten but want to remember.
This is a song I really love. For some reason, I think Hoshino-san would love both the lyrics and the sound. I can confidently recommend it!
