A tour of stylish convenience stores in the city
"Stylish convenience stores" is a coined term referring to convenience stores that have facade signs (signs above the store) that are different in color and shape from mainstream ones, and I collect information on these stores, categorizing them into "urban type," "tourist destination type," and "in-facility type."
The name comes from the fact that they tend to be located in so-called "fashionable" areas like Ginza and Roppongi. It's fun to dig deeper into the reasons behind this, such as the landscape ordinances. There's something even more satisfying about stumbling across a fashionable convenience store in the heart of the city than finding a brown convenience store in a tourist spot.
