As I listened to the room stories of the people I interviewed, I felt like I had some hints for creating my ideal room.
Among the homes we visited this time were some unusual ones, such as one where the owner had chairs scattered around the house because they loved chairs, one where the owner had no doors so that the sound of records could resonate throughout the house, and one where the house was built out of Corten steel to embody the owner's ideals.By being honest about what they like and what they value, they have been able to create rooms that reflect their own personal preferences.
I think the important thing when decorating a room is to not get caught up in "this is normal," but to clearly identify and pursue what you want to cherish. What other people think about it doesn't matter. All of the rooms, filled with the likes and dreams of the people who live there, were dazzlingly attractive.
