A rare vintage piece that is still useful today
I sometimes barter for clothes with seniors and friends who share my interests. This rather rare 1970s Romanian military shoulder bag was given to me by a senior a year ago. It's a very distinctive item, so I have to be careful with the clothes I wear with it, but it's easy to wear to work.
It was originally a bread bag used by soldiers to carry their personal belongings, and by chance my 13-inch laptop fits perfectly in it. Although it has a divider, the gusset is wide so you can fit the laptop either horizontally or vertically, and the lid closes properly no matter how you put it in. It's deadstock so it's in good condition, but I also like the sturdy texture that you can only get from something so old.
As expected, many of the things around me are vintage or used. The sunglasses I carry with me all year round are from Frame France in the 1940s. They are the same frames that Jean-Luc Godard also favored. My keychain is also used, but I wonder where it's from? It was also a gift from a senior colleague a long time ago.
