Finding a home for an adult cat that's hard to find
Emerald, named after his green eyes, is a male cat we adopted in 2017 from Tokyo Cat Guardian, a rescue facility for cats in Otsuka, Tokyo. His long, tangled fur was often timid, and he would run away from other cats covered in his own feces. However, when we held out our hand, he came over cautiously, wanting to be pampered.

At the time, Eme was estimated to be 2 or 3 years old. We wanted to get a cat that was an adult, which is difficult to find a foster home for, so we decided to make her our family right away.
Although she's scared of cats, she loves humans and is as friendly as a dog. She can get along with anyone, not just me, so more and more of my friends have come over to see Eme. She always gives me a sense of comfort and security, and makes me look forward to coming home.
