People appear on T-shirts. Manga artist Michikusa Haruko

It's just a T-shirt, but it's still a T-shirt. Each T-shirt tells an eloquent story of the owner's life. We asked manga artist Michikusa Haruko to tell us about her favorite T-shirt.

The T-shirt is not the main focus, but the foundation for creating a sophisticated style.

In my case, wearing a T-shirt by itself makes me look too casual, so I usually wear a shirt over it. I often wear a basic style that combines jeans and sneakers. A T-shirt itself doesn't stand out, but I think that choosing a high-quality one will give an elegant look when you see your whole body, so I love T-shirts from Studio Nicholson, which have a nice tight collar and soft fabric.

I'm sure that in anything, a good overall impression comes from attention to detail. I keep the same in mind when drawing manga, and rather than cutting corners to make it look good, I pay attention to the details that aren't visible, while still remaining dashing and stylish in a way that doesn't make it obvious.

Michikusa loves the exquisite black color. "It goes well with an all-black style and can be worn in slightly formal occasions," she says.
