A symbol of Ura-Harajuku culture that opened the door to his current activities

The Kid Hunter figure I bought in my second year of high school was the first figure released by Bounty Hunter. I'm from the generation that was hit hard by Ura-Harajuku culture, and I particularly admired Hikaru from Bounty and Skateshin, who designed it.

So, from the moment I saw the preview article for the release in a magazine, I knew I had to buy it! On the morning of the release date, my friend and I called the store just after they opened, and we came up with a plan to call the store and whoever got through would buy two... I forget who ended up getting through (lol), but it definitely made me pay more attention to the work of the two of them. If I hadn't been able to buy it, I might never have considered going into graphic design.

Kawamura says that he has a policy of not opening toy packaging, so he had never actually touched a figure until he met Hikaru later on.
