A crisp texture and refreshing scenery that stimulated my childhood
Favorite soft serve ice cream: Seisenryo soft serve ice cream from Seisenryo

I grew up in the Nagasaka area of Yamanashi Prefecture, and the Kiyosato Plateau was a destination for my elementary school field trips. We hiked from Toryu Falls, and our final destination was Seisen Ryokan. I remember the organic Jersey milk soft serve ice cream I had there was incredibly delicious, paired with the sense of accomplishment I felt at the end of the climb and the open view.
I visited again about two years ago. Eating it as an adult, I realized that the rich yet crunchy texture was what captured my heart back then, and that the special flavor was also a factor. At the same time, it reminded me of the past and brought back feelings of nostalgia and transience. It's about a 20-minute drive from Diorama, but it's so popular on weekends that it's hard to get there. It's an exquisite soft serve that attracts many people, but for me, it's a flavor that symbolizes nostalgia.
