BRACKETS (Shibuya/Tokyo)
Ordinary but unusual, it's good. A place where you can find such exceptional items.
Brackett has a wide selection of British, German, and French military items. The clothes and accessories hanging from the racks, shelves, and ceilings are all rare, including items from the British material conservation program "CC41" and rare German-made pants from the 1950s and 1960s. You're sure to find vintage clothing you've never seen before.
"I'm more attracted to ordinary but cool and interesting things than rare and expensive but ugly things," says owner Yasutaka Iida. This is no surprise, as he is always exploring new sources of purchases in Europe, from military factories to private dealers. This is why he is always able to come across new things.

A shop full of passion, created by two childhood friends
Shino Clothing, which is open until 10pm, is a hangout spot for adults who love vintage clothing. The store is run by Kenta Kimura and Takashi Noguchi, who are from Hokkaido and have been classmates since junior high school.
The shop, which is filled with the dreams of these two men, has a selection that mixes genres and eras, focusing on European items from the 1930s to 1950s, as well as regular items from the 1980s onwards, and special items that reinterpret military clothing.
"Good things are good, regardless of age. I believe that clothes have a 'face' just like people, so I buy items that I think have a good look." (Kimura)
